Ancient mysteries driven deep,
Known to ones that do seek.
Truths own meaning to impart,
For the tenders tis from the heart.
A spot of time that will stand still,
In deep woods or on a hill.

A small flame glowing in the dark,
Beckoning souls to learn the art.
The art of peace and tranquillity,
Words and warmth to bring stability.
Each one different but yet the same,
It matters not to the keeper of the flame.

Brothers and Sisters, they are all,
To learn the ways, to hear the call.
The call that lifts the soul on high,
Cleansing the pain and lonely cry.
To each a hand is extended out,
To lead them away from self doubt.

To teach to walk with life reviewed,
keeping mind and soul renewed.
Realizing most of life is hard to take,
And humans make some bad mistakes.
Then they learn the past is gone,
And once again life can be a song.

The last two lines sum up peace of mind, soul and body beautifully.  I wish more would answer this calling.  This was simply beautiful, and full of insight Logan.

This is beautiful Logan
Loved every line, but this
particular stanza got me

"To teach to walk with life reviewed,
keeping mind and soul renewed.
Realizing most of life is hard to take,
And humans make some bad mistakes.
Then they learn the past is gone,
And once again life can be a song."

*sighs* this is just wonderful!
love your work m'friend...

take care.

Logan, I too felt the last two lines the most strongly. The peace you share is beautiful. But how hard is it to find?

I can't imagine how bleak life would be if not for those who hear and answer the calling and then share their knowledge so that others can be healed and renewed. This is beautiful writing!

Logan~
Oginali of the circle ~
You write with wisdomed pen ~

'To teach to walk with life reviewed,
keeping mind and soul renewed.'

In keeping the fire burning we touch a soul who needs the cleansing the fire-ritual brings.

Nice to meet one who not only writes it ...
but lives it as well.

Ahhh,Lady in White, gentle smile, is that not the whole reasoning behind being the keeper of the flame? To teach to tend, and to pass along? Thank you for your read, and your thoughtful comments
