Fires Of Renewal

~*Marge Tindal*~

Stepping across a darkened night
seeking warmth from life-chilling winds
In gently beckoning serenade
welcomed at the fire-circle of friends

In silent reverie jumps the flame
colors crackle - in dancing hue
Pulling blue from deepened pain
casting shadows from soul's review

Cleansing rituals of the spirits
brought to ease the soul of you
Give it all unto the fire
so you can burn anew

Renewing comes when fire burns down
in the pit upon the ground
But the embers of eternity burn
catching your soul in new abound

Walk in peace from the fire-circle
knowing you now are more
Return when you have need of warmth
Keepers Of The Fire - encircle evermore

Thanking those who tend the fires~

Marge-I had to reread and got 2 different meanings, first I have felt this way when I have watched the flames burning, a loss when all that is left is embers, but the rememberance of warmth and letting go.  My husband is a pyromaniac, so I will have to share this with him, I'm sure he may pick up on a few of your thoughts also. Very splendidly written.

Thank you.

Gemini~
I hope you gather all the sparks you need at the fire.
The fire-circle is a healing ritual of my Indian heritage.
Pleased to know you ponder the meanings.

I loved your portrait of deep spiritual renewal of the fire circle.  Wonderful, Marge.

The flames draw, the embers give the warmth, and in the darkness beyond the firelight, the ancient ones nod in approval..well, done, tender of the flames, guardian of the fires...very gentle smile

Marge this is another beautiful look into your Indian world.  What a wonderful way to heal.  I will never look at a fire the same way again.  Now it will be to let go of things that hold me down.  Thank you and hugs,  ME

many of times, after going through hard times
I have written about them ... got it all out...then placed them in the fire....
Cleansed by the flame...
I love Fire... it has so much meaning and purpose

When you've described a ritual so well that even the reading leads to a feeling of refreshment and renewal, you've written with inspired pen.   I thank you for this beautiful poem.

There is much 'tonic' in the warmth of the renewal flames.
Join us, my friend.

MotherEarth~
The 'Indian world' is an open world that encompasses all.
You have perceived the message well.
Welcome to the fire, sister.

Yes ... the fire consumes and gives back a refreshed soul.
Let it continue to cleanse you.

Welcome, friend.
Any 'talent' I maintain is a gift from the ancients ...
Pleased that you enjoyed.

*Each of you has warmed my heart ...
take from the fire and give back to the fire.
Light a fire for others ... that is the duty of us all.

"brought to ease the soul of you"

Marge, sweet lady... you don't know how many times your words have served to do just that... how many times your warmth has reached through time and distance. *S* The poem is beautiful... and so is the poet. *S*
