The old wind came through tonight
On silent wings of broken angels
Allowing me to see the strangled tears
That flowed from those patient eyes.

The old wind came through tonight
As favored as the gentle rain
That passes over a thirsty land
Endangered of its own humanity.

The old wind came through tonight
Picking up the pieces broken off
Of those troubled and torn hands
That think they fail at life’s necessities.

The old wind chose me tonight
Lifting my battered body from this world
Of passing languages meaning nothing
Then falling into the hands of obscurity.

MichaelG~
I love the thought of the old wind blowing through my life.

In my heritage we honor the wind~
as the wind honors us~

Thank you.

This is sage writing and open thinking.  I like this verse..

"The old wind came through tonight
As favored as the gentle rain
That passes over a thirsty land
                Endangered of its own humanity."

Well done!
