Angel Of Serenity

She builds a bridge to wonder
'pon her harpsichord of melody,
mellifluous fortune of faith
bountiful beauty of harmony

Sparrows sway in her sparkling smile,
lavish lashes a-leaping wink
flowing tidings of hopes are granted -
liquid dreams, in which children drink

Sailing a stream of splendor...
majesty of waterfalls cascade
raspberry-mosaic leaves rustle
with a swan's elegant promenade

Come skip through her gentle garden
with rose petals of lavender-blue,
honeycomb castles of sunflowers shine
for bellowing buttercups dazzled with dew

Off in the distance of peace
doves of dainty coo love poetry
in unison with angel splashed heaven
celebrating tides of tranquility

Cherubs of wispy whimsical tune
gather 'neath sycamore trees of light
fireflies and ginger-berries kiss
relishing in glory of grand heights

Ahh! 'Tis a splendid sight of fairies
swirling gaily with pansies galore
overtures of tigerlily ovation
match the swoop of an eagle's encore!

And, if you listen ever closely
to her tender render of memories
you can hear the Lord's heartbeat
dancing the marigold-mesh of breeze

Exuberance of swallowtail butterflies
flutter lightly 'round eden's bend
all are welcome in her paradise
where serenity has no end

Ah Melissa!!  This is wonderful.  Your imagery is excellent, your use of words
exquisite.  Beautiful one to add to the treasure box.  *s*

Anyone who can fit the word "mellifluous" into their poetry so perfectly has got my appreciation.  Gorgeous images Melissa, I'm glad I stopped in to read.

Gentle Spirit and Vicky - I am smiling because you enjoyed this angel verse, thank you!

Margie-girl - I knew that you would appreciate this, I enjoyed penning it!
It was the graphic by Jonothon Earl Browser that inspired the words, and then I found the midi and it all came together nicely.
Thank you for your continued support

Krista - I am honoured that a fine poet such as yourself is impressed, and I'm equally glad that you stopped in to read

Oh to wake up to this, is there anything better that will happen to me today?  I think not!  Penned to perfection, and yes you are right, it was right up my alley, I printed it out to read "the girls", thank you Melissa, for a treat for sore, old eyes.  Beautifully presented and agreed with all, your imagery and word usage is spectacular.
