Dance of You

morning do not take him
this time you’ve come too soon
leaving me with echoes
from the corners of the moon

immersed in velvet darkness
shimmering shadows dance
upon smooth satin sand
dreamers still romance

arms with strength embrace me
gliding timed steps till dawn
dissolves music when morning comes
evaporating dance floor withdrawn

sun light is much too stark
star lit dances stop much too quick
our waxen moon soon melts
from torch of sun’s wick

yet, I shall wait for you again
counting petals in garden twilight
engulfing in the dance of you
my midnight highlight

Very nice I must say, great imagery.

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

Helen,

I really liked this a lot.  I believe it's some of the best of your writing that I've read.

I like this very much wonderful imagery and emotion, it walks the line between sadness and joy very well. Thank you for sharing.
