There are fires beyond, the guardians keep,
always burning for the ones that seek.
A stick of wisdom thrown on the coals,
helping keep seekers to their goals.
To let the thoughts flow so freely,
unburdening the soul so ideally.

Ancient ones beyond the flames,
slowly dancing to their claims.
Guiding and helping is the cause,
according to all of nature’s laws.
Knowledge of the ages is always there,
available for all when the embers flare.

Come to the fire, when you are down,
uncertain and confused on every round.
Stare into flames of different shades,
let the soul be peaceful as you prayed.
This is the role of the guardians, you see,
to bring inner peace to you and me.

Sandra, gentle smile, we all have much to learn. It was only when I became smart, that I knew I was ignorant.

Janet Marie, you humble me most gentle one, thank you, the pictures were wonderful and, gentle smile, how did you know about the wolves, pray tell?

What a soothing poem...a love gazing into fire and seeing where my thoughts will take me.

Logan~
This sister of the hearth smiles ~
Tending to the fire is duty passed down ~
I am keeper so that others may warm themselves of the embers ~

We each must wend our way into the night to seek out those who need the counsel of the fire ~

This is the way it is ... and will be.

A rendering of medicine from the wheel
will light our way into a new tomorrow.
Take you now this gift of ember and let it warm your soul~

In the keep I gently return your smile~

this is a great description of what that flame can bring to the heart and to the soul Logan. . .

you've done a great job of showing it here. . .

I'm so often playing catch up on these forums... this is one of those rare threads that make me grateful for the delays (when my nature is to be impatient and want immediate poetic gratification *G*) For the poem is superb and rests gently on this heart that believes... but it would have been a loss to have missed the replies. *S* This is a treasure for my library, Logan... thank you!

I had to read this a few times for all the knowledge within to truly sink in and make me believe what I already knew.  I know you are here for a reason Logan, and as a keeper, I am so grateful.  Beautiful rendering of past, present and our futures.
