A Step at a Time

Where is tomorrow in the far distance
Find for me the happiness that I desire
And if you do, bring it to me forever
For the longing has lost momentum
When the side alleys begin to fill
And the nights become colder
I'll only be able to stand one more time
For I have lost many dreams and hopes
I've trodden the long paths on my search
There is a glimmer, a star that has come
Set a smile upon by devastated soul
Held my hand, and cried with me
I have gained some strength to cherish
My heart still bleeds for love
And I ache for pain's departure
I'll take a step at a time, but I am weak
Each step gets only a slight purpose
For the time being I will stand another day
And look upwards to the stars above
To see that one and only shining star

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

Yes, it is incredibly tough to remember to take but one step at a time and keep your eye on the glimmer of hope, fix it firmly, that is all one can do.
