Dreams Left Untold

Life has led me down a spiraling road
With hopes and dreams still left untold

I wander and search for that glowing light
To keep the fire in my heart, burning bright

As the embers smoke and begin to smolder
The road still winds, as I grow older

Longing to walk that straight away
With one who'll feed my fire, night and day

I wonder what, this road's future hold
I hope the heart's fire does not grow cold

Each day the road becomes more unsure
Lack of confidence, feelings of drear

Yet I continue to wander this road
Longing to live the dreams still left untold

You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving
There is no danger of developing eye-strain from looking on the bright side of things

your title is fascinating! and i like the reality your poem exudes. it flows quite nicely and the subject is one that is all to familiar to most. nice write
