I
watched
the clouds
float by
at twilight
salmon pink
with the
tales of
another day ended
showing their
last
illuminated lessons
to a world
too busy
to notice
that we should
have been
paying attention
all along

Sven~
I knew I'd like this from the allure of the title ... and I did.

Got those pink salmon jumping in my sky right now !

Oh if we would stop to take an occasional look toward the heavens what a beautiful picture God will paint for us. Thank you for sharing your sky with me.

Yes, I so agree, there is nothing as beautiful and we should always be looking.

Taking the time to watch the clouds...I'd be ashamed to tell you the last time I consciously did that.  Thanks for reminding me that it was time well spent (and worth repeating).

Sven,

Very picturesque to view a twilight in pink...
as for the salmon, I prefer mine smoked.

I liked your very descriptive imagery
expressed with few words.  Nicely done.

reminds me greatly of this one I wrote..

There …
Just above the
Rising rose colored orb
That has slain nights shadows
Is the rainbow of sun dog
That hides in the thin icing
Of clouds on the horizon

Playful way to greet the day
After a night so filled with specks
Of glittering hope and indiscrete flashes
Of distant lightening portending the
Drenching rain of scattered summer storms

Now it is gone…
And only the few who rose
And looked with curious eyes turned
To heaven in search of things to add
Peace or beauty to the day…
Saw anything at all…

I think you capture much better the idea and image

Enjoyed!!

Look up, there amongst the clouds
in the great eastern skies,
and you will find a smile waiting
to greet you, and cover you with delight...
