The Fine Art of Rejection

I get so tired of
dealing with rejection.
Would much rather be the recipient
of your love and affection.
Hope I'm not too far away
from that rainbow connection.
Sometimes it's really
hard to be me.
Especially when I find someone
I like and she doesn't like me.
I'm not looking for beauty
and I don't require perfection.
Just a simple woman that doesn't have an
affection for the fine art of rejection.

ah...the underlying humor created by the word play is a great counter point to the sadness...

nice work..

If you ever find a "simple woman" you should notify the scientific community

I liked this one James. . .it's kind of bittersweet and funny at the same time. . .

you play those emotions well here. . .

Well said!  We all desire this! Some say that rejection of the heart is the rejection of the soul...and this was penned so cleverly with a witty rhyme and message~

Take care,
Melissa~
