your emerald eyes
bottomless orbs entrancing
inviting my soul

"bottomless orbs entrancing"

I like how you think that way!

You said a lot with just three lines. I have the attention span of a 3 year old during a church service so these are the kind of poems I like. lol Wonderful poem you've written. Thanks for sharing.

Reminds me of my "Emeraldic Eyes" one.  The most enchanting color.
Very very nice.

Emerald depths
now filled with jealousy
burn with cold light

I went off on a tangent when I read your poem..and about 5 variations came into my head at once... including a long tale of how emerald was formed...... perhaps I will even write some of them down..( chuckling)

Point... well... other words and images have a great effect on us...and we are touched by and blessed with the chance to see through anothers eyes the world around..

Not often said enough perhaps... but I appreciate the opportunity to see the world, feel the world through the poet... you and many others here have added to that experience immensly since I have been here..

deep pools, green delight
flecks of gold invite the night
and hazel pulls me in

there, now your friend has a name!

Deep appreciation for your comments and verse.

Of course the SEA is green ... always.
And maybe just now I am honored by her envy which is also green
