Josie, with the big brown eyes;
Josie, with all the smiles and whys;
My "Little Princess" sent from heaven above
just for me to hug and love.
When she giggles
it is as if 1,000 angels are singing
her smile dims
the brightest sunshine 'fore evening.
That little turned up nose
and big brown eyes
will sweep away the clouds
and make the bluest skies.
Two little hands
so tender and sweet
when wrapped around me in a hug
make my life complete.
It just couldn't
get any better in time
Snuggling up close to her
with her face against mine.
Oh God, please,
let's just stop the clock for a minute
or a day or a year,
and hold real tight
what we have right here!!!

***honoring my Special Granddaughter...
My Little Princess...***

Tender and insightful writing...I enjoyed the read very much!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie
