I took
my aspirations
for granted
til i realised
some people
are bound by
circumstances
and
feel incapable
to dream

Yet, I often whined
about falling short
of my goals
and shunned away
from dreaming,
apprehensive to
bleed again

not every caterpillar has a chance
to free itself from its own cocoon

i do
and never again will i
take the easy path
and abandon my dreams

for dreaming may not be a given;
it is a privilege.
a luxury.
a gift not given to all.

what a wonderful philosophy to live by...especially us dreamers of all dreamers..

Don't ever give up, faterider. Dreams are the seeds of tomorrow. if you tend them properly, they can become anything your heart desires. Great write!
