How much of what we do these days
is truly worthy of our time ?
" Grand-father , will you come and play ? "
(A monkey on my lap has climbed .)

A gallant steed for her I'll mime ,
M'lady shall ride like the wind .
As laughter peals , old hooves they chime
" Clip , Clop " like magic we begin .

A journey much to my chagrin
this old horse and his lady fair .
Around that chair we take a spin
how long had I been sitting there ,

before m'lady rescued me ?
This Queen of hearts who's only three .

You have picked a moment that's worth all the time in the world.  What a tender, nostalgic piece.  Grandfatherdom, surely a wondrous time, thanks for sharing it.  Sometimes I really miss being the 3 yr.old and do so  wish I could have the 'grand' experience.

Sy ,
Thanks , this " old horse " isn't ready for the glue factory yet . Just have get un-glued from the chair once in a while .
Doc

Vas ,
Yup ! For all my rambling about seeing things with the eyes of a child , I still cannot quite get it right , but it's fun trying .

Kit ,
Many thanks , the treasure was all mine , if only for a moment .
Doc

PDV,
Not all that comes with age is good , I'm grateful for the few things that are . Thanks,
Doc

Sunshine ,
She twists me right around her little finger , and I love every minute of it .If I could just see things the way she does , and write with what I have learned here , then ,
you'd see some poetry . Thanks .
Doc
