Smile Me A Treasure

I’ve found a treasure in your smile.
A little pleasure for a while
It shows the girl within your eyes
That little curl your mouth applies.

It brings those sounds that pleasure makes
Brings little sighs that makes me quake
And warms my heart within its light
It even stays my dreams at night.

It turns my thoughts to rainbow hue
And chases shadows from my view
It makes me look upon the sky
And search for butterflies that fly.

It stokes the heat of my desire
Stirs the kettle with its fire
And brings to view that boy I knew
So long ago, so dim the view.

So if you can please smile again
They are the flowers of my glen.

I certainly hope she comes back to smile soon, if nothing more than to join us that are smiling here for having the opportunity to read this!

Thank you Sy!

your poetry is the treasure...
and grants the beholder a smile in full measure.

and a smile on high .

Not only is this poetically perfect in rhyme and meter Seymour, but the sentiments are simply delightful. A wonderful poem that will leave each reader smiling for the beauty you've captured here.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Seymour~

Tweak of smile
your intent
Know it brought
much merriment
Upon this face
a smiling grace
Within your rhyme
this smile is mine !

Love n' hugs
