There are many kinds of dancing..here are two poems for you:

To Dance...I

When I dance
there, for your eyes
I see you watching
every move I make
as I lean back
listening to your bold
readying my shy

Exposing my innermost
to your touch
I draw you in, close
to dance with you
increasing the tempo
stepping up to the sighs
of our hearts...

~Wynter

II

Phantom Dance

All I ask of you, is to think of me
your angel of music, wishing
you were somehow here again
a night spent together
one of dancing
in the shadows of memory
your warmth holding me ever close
bodies pressed tightly
only room for a heart beat
Spinning, I am, in your love.

~Wynter...don't remember if I ever posted  or if these were secrets of my heart...

How about dancing of another kind...

Snowflakes

Angels…
Dressed as snowflakes,
Fall from grace,
Dancing descending
Swirling circles on
Wings of wind
As they desert heaven,
Hoping to put a smile
On someone’s face.

Fallen angels…
White wanderers,
Can’t stay in place.
So through the night
They sigh,
Then leave…
Without a trace.

Well... there are still other dances...

(chuckling)

Why do you dance
With shadows,
empty arms wrapped
around ache

Why do you cry
Over times gone by
When you know
Your heart it will break

Come rest your head
On my shoulder
Forget  the cold
Harsh words

Dreams aren’t
Made to be broken
And lies aren’t
Made to be heard

Shadow Dancing

When shadows fill
and grace the night
tempt release of memories

Silhouetting in the dark
desires rise
in heated breeze

Concealed in silken
flow of gown
a cloud of lazy whitened glow

Journey's to a memory
when darkness rules
her thoughts follow

Suggestions touch
his wish commands
invades her patterns of the night

Craves to please
as eyes behold
loneliness escapes, takes flight

The hunger quelled
hears melody
it's in the wind, a scented rose

Then shadows seek
to comfort she
in arms to fall 'til sunrise shows

and from the Lady O  ...Shadow Dancing

My Love

Thou has charmed mine heart.
Never wouldst I have believed
that one could mean so much
that only his thoughts rest
in mine, at all times.
They play the scenes over
and over, until mine eyes open
seeing before them, shadows
dancing
, spinning together
each held tightly, never to let go
of one another.

Dreams within a dream, dost I see.
Hoping beyond hope, for touch of thee
To soon arrest these worried thoughts
Wishing for thy return, to mine heart be caught.
Always in love, left here, I shall be.

To hear with eyes belongs to love's fine wit"...Shakespeare

And  finally Shadow's Dancing X 5 (a repost)for Cpat

Haiku

'Neath beams of moonlight
Shadows dance each step in hold
Blending images.

Tanka

Bathed in forever
The moonlight dances once more
Unfolding love's dreams
In the embracing steps, edged
By shadows of memory.

Quintain, English

'Neath the glow of the moon
Dreams have been held, forever in dance,
Embraced in thought, when eyes of June
Shall see memories made, perchance
To be captured in night of shadow's romance.

Cinquain

'Neath moon
Shadow's dancing
Embracing of dreams held
Capturing memories cast off,
In glow

In the Moonlight, Shadow's Dancing....Sonnet

Walking on balcony of heaven's view
Bathed in forever all thoughts of love true.
Images blending in dreams to unfold
Embraced between boundaries, casting it's hold.

In the moonlight, shadow's dancing, once more
Retracing steps, as they glide 'cross the floor.
Each memory cherished, edged in delight
Each step in hold, the moons cast off's of night.

Circling the spheres, in the ocean of space
The night's for living 'neath beams that embrace.
Dreams in suspension, 'til light fades it's stay
Elusive, moon's shadows, fall back come the day.

Idling minds, will dream presence of two
Dance of  the shadows,  in moonlight of you.

Had enough? *s

(Laughing)

I bow to the lady of words.....

No formal poet am I
and words
though they dance
in circled confusion
across the tip
of Quill
or mind
So oft do fail
to hold the grace
of one you
might easily discard
as waste
