Innocence Waiting

~*Marge Tindal*~

Sometimes inside an angry man
there is a seething soul
Where dormant embers of discontent
rage suddenly out of control

Blown by gusty winds of fate
igniting sparks across a land
Driven into innocence waiting
wreaking havoc with merciless hand

Full-blown fury stalks the night
churning without forewarn
No time to caution innocence waiting
No shelter from the storm

Innocence waiting in candlelight
struck down in swiftest fashion
Such evil lurks in ebony heart
denying crime of passion

Each of us can, and should,
make a difference in the life of a child.
We must be more diligently alert.

Marge,

As adults, as feeling human beings, it is our duty to take care of the little ones, to listen when they speak, always be a good example and protector of these most precious ones.  Thank you, sincerely, for this very special poem.

SEA~
When the line
'Sometimes inside an angry man
there is a seething soul'

came to me, I didn't know what I was supposed to do with it ...
I guess I wrote my heart ...
So glad it touched you.

BloomingRose~
Thank you, dear lady.
There needs to be more awareness to protect them.

SoaringEagle~
You already know how my heart anguishes
over the innocence taken from the little ones.
Thank you for holding my tears. Love you.

EnchantedMelody~
I have to share.
Pleased to have touched others.

Denise~
Thank you, my friend.

Michael~
Awareness is the best protector they could have.
Thank you.

Kit~
Thanks, hon.
Lord knows the stories in today's news
let me know why this one came to me.

*Thank each of you for taking this one to heart.
It moves me knowing that we can make a difference.

Marge,

this is incredibly beautiful for these poor little children.

In Tx, they recently found an 8 year old girl locked in a closet, she is the size of a three year old.. Parents like these are criminals and should be tossed into a large pit and buried alive.  Sorry folks just emotional when it comes to kids.
Thank you Marge for your beautiful heart.....

May your dreams always dance to the rhythm of a lover's heartbeat...

Excellent poem, Margie! The content may be strong, but it needed to be said. I am a survivor who protects her children fiercely. Thank you for posting this. My only regret is that I didn't read it sooner.

*hugs*

Marge-
Children are so important and precious.
They are our leaders of tomorrow and
should be loved and respected TODAY.
Being a child shouldn't be a scary experience.
Thanks so much for sharing this...

This is much to important to remain buried...bump

   You're AWESOME, my friend..
   Your heart is showing..

   love and hugs,

I see the scars among my friends
That come from stolen innocence.
Potential saviors chose silence
And another soul was damned to death.

Yes, there's pain from involvement
But your time and effort spent
May be the only difference
Between a life of hope and living death.

To turn away from a child in need
Is to condone the dirty deed.

I hope you don't mind the path my mind took, Marge... your poem filled me with feeling. Beautiful work, dear lady.
