into my concrete
boots and gloves daily
I slip and heavy as
they are it seems
I would be more sturdy
each new day
than the last but
instead weaker I grow
and to the darkness
I cling as lower
and lower I sink
my eyes journey the fog
orbiting a path
unknown and unchosen
but death takes me
not for unfortunate
am I-
to my head
my body is not
connected
