Rewrite:

The Coincidence

Not the bane, nor the lame,
Nor the curse of its main,
Stayed the residue,
Its claim on these two.

Not the shame of hide,
Nor fetid phantom stride,
Stayed the curse or blame.
Of this coup of the lame.

This day and this sight,
Lay a light to this plight,
Put a crack in the door,
By the cry of a caw.

A gale of caws, a din,
From a maw of chagrin,
Sounded an ode, from winged black,
As down it rode, Miriahs back.

It stood one leg, one alone,
The other a piece of bone.
And I shrank in awe,
At this odd abhor.

Strident caws fell from its beak,
Like a sound from hell each shriek.
And madness leaped from within its soul
And I screamed right back in mad console.

And so we cried and shrieked one will,
And we did not stop until,
He swooped to ground, one pace,
Leered my legless and my face.

We stared each other a bit insane,
The look of each seemed eased the pain.
And then I laughed in a soft simpatico.
And wondered how this could happen to a crow.

It was an incident of man and bird
That holds a treasure of absurd.

Nicely echoes the sounds of crows and the madness....

enjoyed the word play and more importantly to me the sound play...

Odd, the thoughts that cross our minds....

Leered my legless and my face.

The look of each seemed eased the pain.

but you put them down SO well...

I never go a day, without reading yours....

Never....
