Who's Pregnant Anyway?

It's almost like he's pregnant.
Well she is anyway.
He can't swim in the ocean.
The waves give her motion sickness.
She doesn't like the motion of the waves.
I know how much my son loves to swim.
Now he sort of hesitate's.
Because his significant other half is pregnant
and now she doesn't feel that great.
Climbing Diamond Head has now become a dread.
Of course it would have been on the top of the list
if life hadn't come to this.
Two kids so naive and young.
She is only twenty and my son is twenty one.
Yet they feel they are in love
and they want a chance
to spend their lives together
sharing love and romance.
Their sincerity is not in question.
They know exactly where feelings within their hearts lay as they make room inside their hearts for the baby on the way.

Ahhh, yes both partners are affected by this life change. It always happens that way if the man cares enough. Pretty sentiments in this... I hope all goes well for all of you.

wow James....you're going to be a grandpa!!!!! Congratulations!

I hope everything goes well for them. Starting out so young is hard, but I'm sure they'll do fine

As a newly "unpregnant" Mom of a 5 week old, I know what it takes...and these parents-to-be are blessed to have you in their lives.

James, without even reading this poem, I had the urge to come and say "Not me, thank God" in response to the title. However, once here, this proves to be a lovely and thoughtful poem, and I wish you and your family much love with this coming baby.
