I'm not lonely, you know
though times I miss you so.

I'm not in need of you
You see, I'm now brand new.

A woman who can live
with nothing left to give.

True, no one wants my love
so what, I'm strong and tough.

Though nightly when I cry
Your memory is why.

There's no denial here
You'll never see my tears.

True?  ahh, for some reason, I would have to doubt that very much. The world is not completely made up of fools...gentle smile, enjoyed as all your posts.

Sandra,
A difficult and poignant poem about letting go. But you are not a woman with "nothing left to give". You have so much to give, and only the worthy man will see this. Your road is just beginning, and one day all the love you possess will be returned to you in full. Beautiful write...

Related much to the lost love of this...and to the denial of denial.  Well done!

not true, Sandra. There is someone special out there. I know that when love goes wrong it can hurt so much but part of the healing process is to trust in love again. THanks for sharing.

I am always amazed at the caring I receive within these blue pages. Thanks so much everyone, for understanding, and caring enough to write. I am determined to get through my sadness, but it sure helps, when someone writes an encouraging word.

It's times like these that I have to remember that life is not necessarily good or bad or happy or sad but it is a collection of experiences and relationships...and even though these experiences don't unfold exactly as we like we can still learn and profit...James

I'm not going to give you a cliche, it hurts doesn't it and it's allowed....
