Sir Walk-a-lot, The Continuing Saga
Virginia Salter

One day in June, Sir Walk-a-lot
Feasted on sweet Choc-o-lot
Almond Joy’s just hit the spot
With the weather not too hot
To make it melt away.

Then found himself well deep in thought
Of what it is and what it’s not
And if it’s purchased or it’s bought
With money or a barter’s shot
At time spent of the day.

Now, if you know Sir Walk-a-lot
You know he’d rather stroll than trot
Yet when sweet choclit’s what he’s got
He’d rather run than lose the lot
And with deep sorrow pay.

Then end up on a loathesome cot
In realms of pain and stomach’s knot
That his horrendous lot has brought
From being painfully distraught
In some horrid  ghast array.

For his addiction, Walk-a-lot
Would search and search to fill the spot
Of any form of choc-o-lot
Be it sweet or semi not
No matter tooth decay.

He is addicted to the stuff poor guy!  I'd go on the patch if it were me!  Cute poem Virginia!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

Isn't chocolate a four-letter word?
