Hours spent
Making love to
Machinations of logic,
Seem  wasteful
Closet hidings of
Ideals and emotion,
As I look back on
Youthful aspirations
To come of age.

Rejecting the suit
Of innocence,
Eager to don the
Clothes of worldliness,
I walked in naked
Confusion through years
Of growing older
And rooms filled
With costumed me.

Sexless passion spent
Without climax of achievement,
Or purpose created,
Clothed me in starched collared
Robes of self importance,
Unable to turn to others
Without chafing and irritation,
While they…
Wore linen and lace finery
That floated while dancing
With presumed generosity.

Looking back at hours
Spent making love to
Self indulgence while
Wearing the remnants of
Self righteous design,
I stand in this closet,
Deciding which raiment
To drape over my life,
Today.

In trying to find a line or two that struck me with imagery and refinement, I find that....they all did....

so I say thank you for this....
