You grasp the king’s key
Confirmation in your hands
No knave shall pick locks

All the king’s silver
Royal prerogative yours
Arms bearing Leo

Off to battle, swift!
Hold fast to heart, this, her pledge
As soft her lips meld

reminds me of a medieval device of which I've heard...certainly reduces the beauty of this to a rather horrendous object

flowery words DO have a place, I guess

Too bad Bathsheba's husband failed to use it before he went off to war...but then, that would have rewritten a profound piece of history.  Oh, my, I do go off on tangents.  Did you see what color it was so I can ask some one to spot me and bring me back?
