Petaling

After-gloom of night's default
pieces treasured in mind's vault
cling to me, erotic dust
of past emotions, held in trust.

Yesterday will not forget
the morrow's coming quickly, yet
alone for now, a rose in bloom
waiting, listing, as future's loom

Is weaving yarns, in text on blue,
a background blend to spirit new,
protecting me, from threaded bare,
to lead me not into despair.

Drawn am I, into a fire,
in-between immersed desire,
touching me, in frenzied heat.
A mind-led journey, incomplete.

Time is running out, compels
internal shifting, inking well.
Feelings spilling out this day,
meaningless of word display.

For only I, will resonate,
replete of passions held by fate.
Sighing, awaiting time, it's shift
for seconds holding hours drift.

Warned am I,  approaching storm
the words of many, chill the warm.
These days will end, come ten or so.
Finality will reach it's blow.

But memories will hold their own
no use to be's, no borrowed loans
of words to calm, no need of bait
in frenzied heat, I meditate.

Invisable, this hold on me,
Each never thought, a mystery.
Each gap between the lines of you
cling to me, to see me through.

And you shall have, before that day
an invitation come your way
and petal you on path to be
my comfort zone, to share with me.

~Wynter

Unfair of me perhaps to read and only make brief comments... for what I take from poems at times is hard to put into comments...

this one... suffice it to say spoke to me in several ways... I found the use of language sensual....the flow to be one that carried me like one of my own thoughts from here...to there...and at the same time...a bit of mystery in it all...

My name means nothing....( grinning) except that I am a bad typist and too lazy to re-register....

not unfair...your name makes me think of a cat..wanting to be patted...silly of me and maybe all you have to do is edit and change your name in  profile..ask  Sunshine or a moderator..maybe not..but I was  wondering the choice of names...as sometimes others wonder about mine, which means my thoughts are naked for all to see...and are spontaneous ( not anything else)...as far as my meanings go..yes..I was trying for a tiny bit sensuous, but mostly trying to keep what I have in my life, despite warnings, innuendos, and  life's interferences.  I do enjoy you being here..you have  brightened up the open with your poetry, talent and kind responses. Thank you.

Holding on to what we have...but all around us and we ourselves are changing daily..hourly...so nothing we have is the same from one moment to the next.

I understand the urge and desire to keep the good things in our lives, but if held too tightly they fail to grow with us and with the world around us..become stale or fixed and our own experiences lessened...

I am not saying do not hold on, but I am saying that we should always know the moment is where we are...and forever exists in relative terms...

I am rambling...
