One More Day

I so tire of
never mores
and
the sound
of slamming doors

today I wish
for just
one day

one more day of

      kissing sweet lips
      caressing under finger tips
      a long slow dance
      a never ending romance
      one more tear to cry
another time to hold head high
someone I’ve lost to again call friend
a better way to learn to mend
to hold another nearer to me
the knowledge to let go, and let things be
and find tomorrow with a smile
and remember in loss, all is worthwhile

"...the rest is silence" (Hamlet)       Shakespeare

All good points. I especially like...
and find tomorrow with a smile...

i must say that I loved this one, very sad yet hopeful, from a realist's point of view with a lighter optimistic side too...I can say that I grew tired of the whole thing long ago and have the same wish, but if it doesn't come true, then it doesn't. Thanks for this one.
