Thoughts of you sweep over me,
too many times to set me free.
My arms still feel your close embrace,
knowing no one could ever take that place.
But then you left, and were gone,
leaving love a very sad song.

A haunting and tender melody,
plucks the very heart strings so tenderly.
A song so soft it rivals the breeze,
tinkling the leaves in the very trees.
It swells and glows in the depths of me,
a concerto of sound coming from thee.

A day will come when the song will end,
signaling when we are together again.
Birds will sing a brand new tune,
stars will glisten with the moon.
Two loves to meet and share again,
this time nevermore, will it end.

*sigh*
Your song, dear friend, has made me nod my head in realization that this has happened to me before. I love this.

Beautiful song Logan.......a poem caressing the music of love!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie
