Rain Drop

Come little rain drop
bring us your relief
We all live day by day
assured in our belief
That you will come and deliver hope
through rough and darkened sky
And not destroy what things we have
with the amount that you supply
Bring your gentle touch
turning nature green
Do not drive us away
with your tempest seldom seen.
So please little rain drop
leave us some dry ground
All the world loves you
when you spread yourself around

Love the touch of rain drops inhere,
but hey only in this lovely poem as I need the warmth of brother sun's sunbeams.
Excellent write.

Hi Mr AlleyCat, I recognize your name from The Poet's Place, nice to see you here.

Yes, we don't appreciate rain the way we should.

Mr. C this poem is a pound of Godivas and
a raspberry torte cake.

I love rain and I love this poem.

Nicely written rhymes, Mr. Alley Cat...I enjoyed this...

I can understand this!

I live in California, and drought over the past years has caused almost as many problems as flooding. This year it looks like drought will be the catalyst to many fires. We hope it won't be too bad! Hope you get your rain!
