I Fear
~~~
I guess
I've seen that look in your eyes
that fills up a heart
when tenderness dies
I fall
from your window
with a flick of your broom
But ...
a glitch in my program
leaves me lost
in the gloom
I can't find
the end switch
I can't drown
the tear
You'll control me forever
Even though
like I fear
We're through
~~~

Surely the pain will lessen, surely.

A poignant write, Rex!

Virginia ... the pains been gone for many years ... I thought it would be with me forever back when this was written ... but life does have it's bandaids

Rose ... thankyou ... but I fear the picture's merely a dust bunny as well

You could never possibly be forgotten, Rex, but post as many oldies as you like! It's always a pleasure to read your words!

Ah, I'm thankful this is a past write.     You write that fear very very well.  My compliments.

Not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.
