Between the Lines

Beyond A Doubt

Sleep escapes me, once again.
I surrender to shadows,
their dance upon my walls
lulling me into a falsehood.

Breaking away from the blurring,
I market my thoughts, dreaming
of consequences, of truth
that defeats the day's serenity.

Summer night's will soon breeze their touches
upon the season of my existence,
and I shall wake up to reality
of a world, unready for me.

As I free myself from the four walls this morning,
reflections, latticed in fear,
are rippling in front of my eyes
and felling me into the spell of the past.

Would I ever again, feel the softness
of your eye's caressing words, or
of the heaviness in your sighs, belieing
the spoken word? What are you to me?

You are my poem, the kiss of my morn,
the gift of my days, the stealer of my dreams,
the song of my heart that can be heard
when the night has it's way and darkness takes hold.

You are the hope of my past, the faith of my future,
the sands of my time, the breaker of chains
that have desire-locked, and tormented
the restless spirit within.

You are the reinforcer of my resolve,
a thousand times my strength, lending to me
the sharpness of your mind, the reasoning of your soul,
the belief that I lack and the facade to go on.

I long to find the answers but,
you outdistanced my reach, imagining the contrary.
Words in silence, now echo in chambers,
in the emptiness of the moments once shared.

I don't wish to live in the shadows of you, nor
to be a voice in the wind, but to feel your touch,
the taste of your kiss, to look into eyes that tell all,
to know beyond a doubt, that it was once...real.

~Wynter

'You are my poem, the kiss of my morn,
the gift of my days, the stealer of my dreams,
the song of my heart that can be heard
when the night has it's way and darkness takes hold.'

And you SHOULD 'Market' your thoughts ...
This is just lovely ! !

The love runs so deep in these well written verses.....

"You are my poem, the kiss of my morn,
the gift of my days, the stealer of my dreams,
the song of my heart that can be heard
when the night has it's way and darkness takes hold.

You are the hope of my past, the faith of my future,
the sands of my time, the breaker of chains
                 that have desire-locked, and tormented
                 the restless spirit within.

You are the reinforcer of my resolve,
a thousand times my strength, lending to me
the sharpness of your mind, the reasoning of your soul,
the belief that I lack and the facade to go on."

Too bad things have to turn out the way they do sometimes. I know the pain is terrible and the loneliness related to it just as bad.......but always, always, somewhere along the line it ends up making us stronger!
Thanks for sharing this great poem!

I do not wish to stand in your shadow, and wish not to block the sun from you, but to stand as two pillars, equal and let the wind carress us both.....

I am becoming quite a fan of yours..enjoy very much the words and thoughts you share..

Sunshine..we all market  our thoughts on here...some will buy what we  write and understand and others will let them pass them by. Thank you, Karilea

E..I know you say that strength will come from this, but the truth is, my heart gets weaker...my words will be lost in the sadness
of caring. You are one I look forward to in responses along with the others on here this morning.Thank You for always taking the time. ((hug))

Sandra, I hope you are feeling better...thank you, I have missed you.

Janet Marie
thank you for noticing the sincerity and the words of intent. Sometimes that is all one has left.

Professor
It's always nice when you drop by and leave a word or two. Thank you for everything
