Between the Lines

Wishing my lips had been
sealed from a touch,
as pain stings from it's memory.
In solitude, I bathe in thoughts,
unscented, stark, as a coldness
penetrates each pour of you.
No warmth this day, no shine seeks me out.
With the ease of a summer's breeze,
you have drifted away, leaving behind
an emptiness and a longing
of an almost love.

(sad sigh) I know so very well how it feels to be marooned from the warmth of such a love, and how times can be so deceiving and play sad tricks on all of us. (sad sigh) I hope this isn't a situation you have faced, but if it is something you've endured, remember that you've gained something out of it, and your beautiful heart floods with love that will lead you to find the most beautiful love you can ever dream of! (sigh) A sad but well-written poem! You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Your word usage and imagery in this is stunning.  Captured all by the last line.

Not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

This is utterly moving, keep writing, Maureen, write it out
