Still seeking sadly, no surcease
and ponder how this heart still beats
As torn apart as it has been
all for the misplaced love of him.

A milestone time, decisions made
From this day on, his touch shall fade
no longer will he fill my mind
for I deserve a different kind.

I'll take a prince, a cowboy too
but not just anyone will do.
This time his heart will be pure gold
not dappled silver, growing old.

Thus, while I learn to wait some more
I'm keeping werewolves from my door
I'll sit alone and gather thoughts
and then will come the one I sought.

Perhaps it's true, good times to come
till then I'm me, happy as one.

My applause and congrats!  Letting go is hard to do, and sometimes very needed.

Not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.

~Sandra, this post is something that I needed to read, and I'm so glad to have. Got me smiling here and sending continued strength your way, even though you've got all you need already. You're wonderful, as is this. And happy 3000!!! Golly! *Peace S.

your cadence is melodic in this and it should be a morning chant...
your mantra of strength...
wonderful poem of spirit and renewal...
Congrats on your milestone...and your efforts to claim what you do indeed deserve.
well done Sandra
