Paths

It’s an amazing thing
All the different paths we can take
One simple split second decision
Can change so many lives
Sometimes there are sharp corners
Filled with pain and hurt
Mountains that you have to climb
That leave deep lasting scars
Or dead ends with no where left to go
But back to retrace your journey.
Then sometimes there are curves
Smooth and easy turns
With happiness and joy abundant
Hills that raise you to straight to heaven
And valleys that are quiet and peaceful.
You never know what to expect
Where your next step will lead
You have to hold tight for the ride
Grasp firm and believe in hope and faith
And take comfort in the power of love.

Too true, and a beautiful post.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...
