He opened my heart
like a cherished gift
Slowly and carefully
unwrapping delicate layers of
light emotion
and with tender persuasion
he coaxed my very depths,
the voice so long unused,
into his hands
lovingly exploring
every part of me
and I danced in beauty
Gentle shyness turning to
sparkling confidence
as my soul gazed up at him
and knew love
Like know other
I knew love
