His eyes fell on her
softening with a warmth
much like her flame
that captivated him

A candle lit and sheltered
by cupped hands
Two slender and soft
Two large and strong

And in the magic
of that flame
they were playful and passionate
coy and flirtatious
as words and voice rose
in the strength
of discovered love

Wow, this is probably the best poem I have read for ages, The language and context that you've used is amazing, and the theme is one that can very rarely not make for good reading, many thanks .

Thank you so much, everyone.  I've really enjoyed this warm welcoming and the inspiration and wonder of reading so many very talented poets.  This is a wonderful site.
