Where have they gone
    why did they leave me
Did I hold them to close
    take for granted their serenity

Didn’t I cherish their touch
the feel of them on my lips
Wasn’t I aware they were a gift
to form them by my fingertips

They used to flow from heart and soul
with the ease of angel’s flight
Now I seem to search for them
crying out to them in the night

They used to fall in the form of golden weave
mending my pain with enchanted verse
They wrapped around my aching heart
releasing it from it’s silent curse

Do I now want them to much
longing for them to shine within me
Have they grown far to tired
    of my pitiful insecurities

I’d give my heart and soul to find
the words that allowed me to sing
Casting a wish for their return
upon the stars and a butterfly wing~

I know it's often said that we don't appreciate what we have until it's gone... But sometimes, we lose a treasure no matter what we do... and the mourning is no less because we knew all along what we stood to lose. *S*  This is beautiful, BDC... the loss and longing are tangible - your words haven't deserted you at all. *S* They still sing with lovely melody. *S*

Sud~ Thank you so much my friend, my home away from home and the friends that fill it have been greatly missed by me as well~

LIW~ I always find it so ironic during a bout with writers block that I can only write about Writers Block *s*...bitter irony.  Thank you so much for your reply, it truly touches my heart~

Suthern~ You are much to kind sweet lady and your words of wisdom fall like rain today.  Thank you so very much for your reply~

Sometimes it seems as if our wishes and dreams desert us........growing bored and tired with our fears

And how do we all long for our winged wishes to come true......

Thank you for such a lovely moving read

Ummmm....excuse me...
Hi there...its me...moth moody muse ...
I was just wondering...how is it when a moths muse leaves...all that me pen writes is tired cliches' ...
but when a ~butterfly's muse leaves....
she can still pen stardust magic???
HMMMMMMM????!!!!???
*sigh* ... never mind...dont answer that..
I already KNOW

OK...all moth jokes aside...
this is beautiful baby...
enchanting in its longing and bittersweet ache.
Few things are more frustrating for a poet that writers block...
My muse has made a full time job of it of late...yayayaya
this is classic Holly and even better is having you flutter thru...have missed you in here me girlie.

she said I dont know why you ever would lie to me
like I'm a little untrusting when I think that the truth is gonna hurt ya

Dear Sweet Butterfly,

Beautiful poetry here, but I do know what you mean when the words seem to not flow so beautifully as a butterfly does, yet the world and its stuff still come in on us and we can't find that release as simply as before, this is a beautiful start though and one I shall keep in sight thank you friend.

Love, Cerenity

My dear sweet friend, this was so filled with a longing that just won't stop here.  You will find those wishes again and all your dreams will come true.  Just have to have faith that when the time is right for you, it will happen.  I see your heart shining in here awaiting the splendor of what is to come.  Hugs send your way.  Take care, you.

Hun, your muse could never fly away from you, and of course, you expressed yourself so well with an appropriate and charming theme, I loved it!  I often find my muse fluttering where it shouldn't be from time to time, but, if it was meant to be it will return.  And you were meant to be a poet!!

*Good to see you gracing passions again*

Take care,
Melissa~

LW* Thank you my sweet friend...it always seem that the sad and longing comes out in weave but in happiness I draw a blank...I should be happy for the block but I love to weave so much...I guess I just need to be for thankful for the happiness that has blocked my writing...Hugs to you~

Melissa~ What sweet words you grace me with...always a ray of sunshine Miss Honeybee, thank you from the bottom of my heart~

James~ Thank you for reading~
