Festival Freckles I’m about to join the fun, go out and collect some days of sun and freckles, what the heck Festival comes to us but four days once a year so come and join in the fun, and bring sunscreen, hear? the atmosphere is more than fluff there’s art, and music, all that stuff young and old join in the throng and all will dance to calypso’s song fine art shows and crafts alike you’ll find the mummers riding bikes art patrons come, from east to west but eating great food is just the best! bierocks, chicken, catfish, gumbo, fry bread, drumsticks, sausage, pastas, onions in a blossom, hummus, more deserts will come through hidden doors almonds, puddings, ribeye steaks egg rolls, rangoons, great lemonades, cookies, cheesecakes, cobblers a la mode walk a lot, you won’t feel like a toad! bring the kids, they’ve their own place storytellers, artists will make-up their face you can leave them in their own ring they’ll play all day and learn to sing! music all around the park, come, and give a hear you can’t help give a skip as it sounds so clear snap your fingers, and smiles abound it’s the best festival in this whole darn town! River Fest! It’s come again, and it’s been around a while twenty-five years of memories, guaranteed great smiles! (smiles) Wow, seems like so much fun, wish I could go too! (smiles) I was just at the Boulder Creek Festival Memorial Day Weekend in Boulder, Colorado along the greenway, it is gorgeous up here and I had some nice kettle corn and cinnamon almonds, we watched the rubber duckie race downstream, I looked at marvelous tie-dyed t-shirts and fantasy artwork on display, and got a nice tan in the sun and ate at a nice cafe on the patio! (smiles) It was great! I bet your River Fest experience will be one never to forget! Have the most wonderful time, sweet Sunshine! (smiles) Very creative and novel poem!
