In Your Poetic Mind

There’s a door left unopened
And the heart can heal if we believe
Sailing out across the ocean is
My lifetime of you and me
At the mercy of the sea
Tossed in the storm
Torn, & tangled in the sails of yesterday
In a sinking soul of dreams
In the harbor of my eyes
Shines the star I follow with loyalty
A moment we all must
Come to, casting tears to fate,
And faith of loving again
In the rain I feel your name
In the wind I see your face
Of the night I call your name
When I knew the moon, it’s
Pale eloquence, I bathed in the pearl sheen
Of the sheets but now unto my canvas
I paint the nights of you
In a chambered heart tasting
The bittersweet orchid
Smell of your skin
Where the scattered flowers
Of winters past now grow in silence
I await my journey to your arms
Upon this earth time does move slow
And the mountains still wait
Inquietude of the moment
Among the stars my soul, free

I n s p i r e d

Nothing Beautiful In This World
Is Ever Really Lost
All Things Beloved
Live on In Our Hearts...Forever."

stunning imagery and may I say that when a door remains open it leads to joy!

I love this Lauren.  I remember you showing this to me as an unfinished poem.  You've done well in the completion, sweet one.  (((hugs)))
