I looked far with a searching gaze
Starting from a point quite so near
Through the distanced remote passage
For as much as my eyes could stare.

I saw these lights from outer space,
The luminous giants of expect
Sprinkling rays of buoyant upbeat
Into the depths of inner space.

I closed my eyes to feel the feel
Of dolphins jumping with wide smiles,
Of life blooming in pleasant glow,
Of songbirds singing, winged and free.

I felt the green grass, young and fresh
Dancing like reeds in flowing breeze
Eden no more remained a dream,
It was right there where I could feel.

Sincerely then, I thanked my gaze
Realizing how things do change,
If one just wished to see inside
What one wished to have seen outside.
