It shades my world with ever changing hues ,
gives luster to most ev'ry waking thought .
In throes of sleep my dreams become infused ,
with light celestial dieties have wrought ,

into my very core there to reside ,
a multitude of images replete .
The prison of my mind's been opened wide ,
yet still my wanting nature would entreat .

May favor smile once more upon my hand
that I might share the wonders that I see .
For cruel would be the fates to give a man
a gift of sight without ability ,

and all for want of talent lock him 'way
held hostage by the words he cannot say .

Doc....if you are speaking of yourself here:

"and all for want of talent lock him 'way
held hostage by the words he cannot say ."

I think you have spoken words beautiful!

Sunshine ,
I believe the thanks belong to you , having now been given by me ( or we could share ),
that is what we're here for .

Martie ,
Yes , you were right . That's what happens when I write too much ( Me , Me ,Me ). Thanks
again though for your kind words , I admire your ability to take another perspective , which is what I have to remind myself to do constantly ( fortunately there's enough of me to go around )Thanks again .
Doc

I wrote a poem once and in it stated that I would never have a beautiful sonnet written for me.....I was wrong.....just goes to show ya....one should never say never! This is gorgeous, Doc! Thank you! I can really relate to this, too! Oh, and the meter is perfection...but you knew that, didn't ya?
