Within the confines of my own mind
I am forced to endure these disquieting thoughts
things long forgotten & left behind
surge forth with more force that bad memories ought

Burrowing deep within my past
to find just a hint, a mere moment to treasure
only to discover in unfortunate sadness
there hadn't been much inwhich to take pleasure

Inside of their place of examination
I grudgingly hand them my greivious secrets
greedily, they pick what I've told them, apart
mishandling it all or just failing to keep it

Plundering my closet to search out my demons
I thought, "to extinguish"
but their thought, "just to see"
Again forced to face them while inwardly screaming
uncovering the best left untouched side of me

Coldy pointing out my imperfections
A punishment hidden in the name of correction
connecting the dots on my blemished face
picking & peeling what I can't erase

microscopes peering deep into my soul
probing my psyche with some unknown goal
raping my mind and ignoring my pride
robbing my dignity 'til empty inside
forcing me, back first, into rubber walls
I just have no choice but escape from it all~
within the confines of my own mind
I'm condemned to endure these
torturous thoughts...
