should I ever know you

it comes to me,
all untied
less gilt or silvered foil

certainly
no need to look into
a horse’s mouth, as what might be
only a
line __________________________

to you

is not how I perceive
this boon
which, though never wrapped in
silver or gilt

I unravel and de-layer by morn’s light
       or noon day sun
                           or in caliginous night

this gift
to share

it pleases me

to see thoughts swell
up from my quiet depths where they have welled
for so long
this boon
to shower

you

should I ever know you, and should
you ever cause this well to dry, to cause

my throat to parch,

my skin to dessicate,

my will to evaporate,

I fear we would both be lost…..

but…..

should I ever know you, and should

you

ever cause me to reach for

paper

pen

ink,

it would be then
that you would know

you fulfill me

completely….

and that the swell

would have just begun….

I would work on the lines, some are too long. The flow is excellent and the meaning expressive.

Lady In White,

This is almost too beautiful, if that is possible.  You get a WOW on this one and you know that I don't often pass those out.

Actually the last half of Janet Marie, as I loved the part about being stirred enough to pick up paper and pen. Again, a fantastic write.
