Wrote this at 1 this morning...

I remember walking those empty streets alone,
With none but you and Miss Freedom by my side.
Searching for a party, direction or a home
The light that we turned on shone brightly on my pride.

Cast a shadow over Oklahoma
Cast a shadow on the past.
The sun is shining on Buffalo tonight,
Casting shadows on the past.

You helped me oh so much while on those dusty streets,
With the old streetlights glowing on our joined hands.
You gave me a direction and a destiny to meet,
A star to follow, to be seen throughout our land.

Cast a shadow over Oklahoma
Cast a shadow on the past.
The sun is shining on Buffalo tonight,
Casting shadows on the past.

I thought I was in love so many times before,
But now I know all too well that I was wrong.
I saw something in your eyes and knew I wanted more,
There’s a reflection in those eyes, right where I belong.

Cast a shadow over Oklahoma
Cast a shadow on the past.
The sun is shining on Buffalo tonight,
Casting shadows on the past.

I'm thinking strike up the band, you have a top ten hit here...your words are like music...drink coffee now and lets see what comes out tonight!

Yes, a song played in my head while I was reading...especially liked the refrain.
