is it but a voice dream of that familiar voice?
the voice of poet blue, my midnight blue
luna bright as daydreams, his voice calls softly
on a whisper breath of another summer night

always, in this breath, shear ninon billows
flowing as beautiful as liquid from his pen
letters perfumed with lilac i breathe in deeply
to capture scent within the scent

in the wind, temple bells call, close to the window
i find myself again, reaching for my poet
these hands that caress memories with gentle strokes
yet, can not grasp?

the beauty of his face and lilacs of his soul
are but pure liquid memories, all that i have now
each morning, i watch the pastel curtains billow
flowing in the sun as words did from his pen

it's but my voice dream, repeating in familiar voice
the voice of poet blue, my midnight blue
