My son brought home a new kitten,
of course he knew I could not resist so it looks like we have a new little bundle of joy!

Kitty Land

Pitter-patter of fury little feet
kittens run about
with little care except to
pounce upon the other!

Finding that little piece of thread
is to embark on a journey
that will take them through
an array of acrobatics
that boggles the mind!

What seems to have been hours of
thumps and bumps they then
settle down to align their
attire and with very much care
do they pretty them selves

Of course when you think they
just do not seem to need you!
they then can-not seem to
leave you alone giving
kitty kisses passionate purrs
and a nose full of fur!

Then with great ease they fall
off to sleep to get ready for their
next great adventure in a world we
find mundane and fruitless

By, Cerenity

Here, your heart is more exposed than the enire remaining portion of the poem...to use/realize the antics of the kitten as a reflection of enjoying life no matter what comes is a grand spring board from which you might explore your heart and find its healing.  I believe you have only begun to touch upon the strength that you will find in pursuing these thoughts toward its balm.

In the 3rd stanza, you want 'have' instead of 'of' in the 1st line's "it seems to 'of' been hours...

Aren't they a joy?  Enjoyable read.

kittens are wonderful but they lose some of that charm when they become older, they quickly let you know who is boss, even they really ham up the cute factor. REally enjoyed the read.

Unh-uh Brian...CATS are wonderful creatures, from first to last....and yes, I'm biased as all get out....even though I love dogs....cats and horses have my heart first....

Enjoyed this, Cerenity....

Aren't they fun to watch?  I sit and watch mine a lot although he is far from a kitten now.  Still too cute though!  Nice write!
