What is this gift
you gave to me?
This strange
perverted
legacy
I thought you loved me
more than this
what is this gift
of Judas kiss?
Now I know I'm selfish, true.
Still I think of me, not you
for in your death you tidied life--
and thought of me with all your strife,
but all the beauty I perceived
was only through your eyes. I grieve.

"but all the beauty I perceived
was only through your eyes"

This statement is the epitome of grief, I think.  It's harsh when all we see is through another's eyes, serenity, but one must learn to look through their own eyes if they are ever to glimpse what the world really holds for them.

((hugs))

Such a lovely flow in your words, this was beautifully expressed Serenity. Since words seem to be failing me today, may I simply echo Michael's wisdom above ...

Best wishes,
/Kit

So sad ... and not entirely true.  We, here at Passions, think you are beautiful in many ways.

(sad sigh) Such sadness in these deep words of grief. I know how it must feel when you feel you don't deserve each other and you feel selfish, but you really aren't, you are a beautiful poetess with a golden heart, it just may be you're not meant for each other and that feeling makes you feel you don't belong. (big hugggsssss) I pray with all my heart your wounds heal as soon as possible! You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
