surely, they named silk, ere
but touch thy gilded hair,
fine porcelain, couldst it breathe,
'side thy envied cheek, t'would seethe,
and these, thine lips, they captivate.
for on each word hang i, in wait,
sing me hence, from whence yon light,
'tis not the east, 'tis naught but night.
night, and i doth breathe once more,
with eyes this vision kis't, adore.
a once dead heart now beats in sighs.
oh, say i, the stars live in thine eyes.
