Don't tell me that it is too late--
nor dare suggest it came too soon.
Tonight~be light~unbelt breastplate and
dance with me, lavender's moon.
Thunder rumbles hunger's roar
I be blessed by sage's bower
Thor count the raging tick of lore-
crows in caw--high in the tower
of the cypress pert in spring
invisible cicada's sing
as the lightning cuts the sky
etching traces in mind's eye.

Where I sit, was once a swamp.
Long for home--it wants-she wants
to be the land she used to be;
I understand, and she knows me
it's why she gives me gift of haunt-
she knows my heart. I want. I want.
Wishes spat from silver spoon--
I dance beneath lavender moon.

STANDING OVATION!!! BEAUTIFUL!!! I love it!!! I saw the lavender moon in my head as I read this, reflected off of a lunar spoon a fairy godmother was holding, shining forth a hazy moon of roseate love. BRAVO!!! Your poems always bring magic to passions! (smiles) You have such a beautiful heart, dear friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

THe ghosts that surround us don't always haunt sometimes they comfort us. A Beautiful poem, I see that you have found that quiet place.

beautiful..I wrote of the lavender  once.....

Lavender Blues

Tonight the moon in paleness full
Gathers all who view with waiting eyes
As darkness looms, and sun goes down
They see the beauty of lavender skies.

Desires glitter in eyes like stars
That rise and flicker on the velvet vast
Caged the passion, of those in love
Shadow enhanced by moonbeams cast.

Leaving trails of falling stars
Caressed by breezes in the night
That kiss them lightly as they walk
Their passions reign in soft moonlight.

Throughtout the shadows laced in glow
A painted sky begins it's play
The silent music sings it's song
Of beauty's dawning on it's way.

Wrapping up in circled warmth
As moon begins it's wane this night
They kiss the dark and dance their touch
In silent dreams, of lavender light.
6*2...something to make you smile...maybe?

I'd like to thank you all--but truly? This was a moment before the squalls of Tropical Storm Allison. I looked up and the moon was indeed, LAVENDER...and the rest just sort of sang itself to me. and hey, I couldn't help it, but there WAS beauty in the midst of destruction too. Nature just is what it is.
Hugs to all...hope you all are well!
