Do you ever wonder where your unused breath goes
not conveying a sound or delivering a thought
just caught in the wind as the willows gather in
the breath of others like you

When you've used it up and cast it out
seemingly without a purpose or direction
do you feel guilty for the breath you use
or the pain inflicted by your heavy breathing

I cannot feel for this, because I am alone
remembering how you used to whisper to me
telling me of the love you felt which was as empty
as your wasted breath

I like it..

It is to do with tree-ferns:
mamuka, pongo, wheki.
Shelter under here is so easily understood.
