So Broken

It remains so vivid here in my mind tonight
A memory I vowed to stand private to the world
But, with grace I write from a so broken heart
Of the tears left behind of this so broken girl...

I found my faith to be in the hands of a friend
I thought heaven stood along my side
But, I ran the longest road one can possible imagine
And, I learned what it meant to slowly die...

On one so broken night I found myself where cries couldn't be heard
And, I never knew the night would ever end
On my back staring at the ceiling through hazy eyes
I fell hard to what I called my friend...

I then closed my eyes to what I was about to go through
And, breathed the last breath of sanity I would own
I felt the extreme weight of him upon me beyond my control
How was he ever the man I thought I had known...

That so broken moment left me running far into my mind
There was just no where else to hide
So beneath him I prayed for I was just to weak
And, God knows I'm just not the fighting kind...

My so broken life stands not knowing what lies on ahead
For my days will never be the same
I spent a so broken hour at what seemed a lifetime to me
In the middle of one mans unfair game...

I'm so broken in the way a heart can never be fixed
And, I still pray anxiously for the sun to rise
There's never a night I don't fear the darkness out there
For that so broken man still haunts my dreams each night...

Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak
I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps

Saunni...this poem is so utterly sad... these lines hit me so hard i could feel the tears well..
"a memory I vowed to stand private to the world"

"i found my faith to be in the hands of a friend"

"there was just no where else to hide"

"I'm so broken in a way a heart can never be fixed"

how i have felt those words a hundered times...all i can say is...cuts do heal...you never forget...but you do heal...even if you have to heal yourself

These deep feelings of unworth, of brokeness is exactly why we impress rape victims they must talk about their feelings, go to the  nearest ER and report the rape, call the authorities and bring charges. Rape has nothing to with sex and everything to do with violence against women. His insanity and violence left you feeling helpless. Don't let him roam free, for he will do this again to another unsuspecting woman.

I'm sorry if this has happened to you. Please stay strong, you are, you know, if you are able to write about it. Don't let the evil beat you.
Email if I can help. I have been there.

You write so well of the pain of betrayal--this flowed so beautifully too...this is what I think of as a "painted poem"--the visuals and the feeling translated and transported me to feeling. Very Nice Work here!

Sauni, please, take the advice of Julian. Get help and speak to a couselor about what has happened. Please don't suffer through this alone, you deserve to get your life back.  If you need to talk, please email me.

*hugs to you*

Oh dear, that's a whole lot you've gone through, almost impossible to deal with all by yourself. I urge you to take the advice that Julian gave you. If you want to talk, just mail me, I'll listen, but I think it takes a proffessionel to really get you out of there. Please consider.

Never stop praying.  Seek help for yourself and put that animmal where he belongs ... in a cage.
God bless and keep you in his bosom.

So sad...this brings up memories from a time long past...my heart cries with recognition.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...
